Four decades of value from Bhutan's forests

Established in 1982 by the Royal Government of Bhutan and incorporated in 1983, Bhutan Board Products Limited (BBPL) was founded to pioneer the value-added utilization of Bhutan's forest resources. Today, we stand as one of the region's largest manufacturers of high-quality particle boards and ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture.

With primary factories in Drala, Chhukha (Particle Board) and Pasakha, Phuentsholing (Furniture), we serve both the domestic Bhutanese market (15%) and a robust export market, primarily in India (85%).

Our operations are grounded in the principles of a circular economy. From timber extraction and blue pine exports to our Greenure organic fertilizer unit, we ensure every forestry byproduct is used to its highest potential, contributing to forest conservation and sustainable development goals.
