Greenure is BBPL's organic fertilizer unit, part of our commitment to a circular economy where every forestry byproduct is put to its highest use. Rather than treating manufacturing residue as waste, we convert it into a resource that supports sustainable agriculture.
This initiative reflects BBPL's broader mission: from timber extraction and blue pine exports to particle board and ready-to-assemble furniture, we aim to leave nothing unused, contributing to forest conservation and Bhutan's sustainable development goals.

Proven on Bhutanese farms
Druk Horticulture was looking for a natural fertilizer for its farm, and the National Organic Program recommended BBPL's Greenure, made from decomposed wood mulch and cow dung. We tried 1,000 kg of Greenure on our strawberry farm and, surprisingly, it worked well — it helped the growth, size and taste of the fruit. We have since used it on tomatoes and other vegetables. We strongly recommend that prospective and enterprising young farmers try Greenure and see the results for themselves.
